FAQ
Are the meal included in the rental prices?
No. The Villa cooking service includes two meals a day, either breakfast and lunch or lunch & dinner (approx 8 hrs of service) please note that F&B are not included, those are paid by guests. A third meal is avaiable for an extra cost, please ask with anticipation for the cost as the Staff has to perform the shopping and needs a bit of heads up.
All guest must decide in the same combination for food, all meals are served "family style," with the same appetizer, main course, and dessert for all guests,, certain exceptions can be made for those with food allergies, intolerance or children.
What is the average or aproximate cost of F&B?
A general estimate is about $250 - $300 per Adult per week for two meals a day, depending on consumption of expensive seafood or imported liquors. However, please consider this only a general estimate, the cost varies from group to group.
Accounting & Payments for groceries
The cook will turn in receipts for all food & beverages, along with any taxi charges she has incurred. It is best to advance the cook enough money for 2-3 days of shopping, so that you will not have to make daily ransactions.
Staff will present receipts from stores the day of your arrival, please reimburse what has been spent so far and go over the next days and meal services of your stay.
Cash only, US Dollars or pesos, note USD Exchange rates varies depending on the stores of purchases.
Gratuites
Tipping of the villa/household employees is customary in Mexico. The amount of tips would depend on your length of stay, the service, the number of guests, special service and so forth. We receive many wonderful comments about the service at our villas. We are, frequently asked how much to tip and have established a guideline that may be of help to you. An amount of $20.00 to $25.00 per guest/per day seems to be the average gratuity. Or, if you prefer, up to 15-20% of your total accommodation expenses as a total to the villa staff is also customary divided among the staff.

Our family of 12 ranging in age from 3 mos to 61 years old, stayed for a week at Casa Contenta and wow were we spoiled! Raul made us fabulous drinks every day and chef Pepo made us the most delicious meals. Having been to PV many times, we were afraid we would miss some of our favorite restaurants but his food was so good and the views from the house are to die for, it was like eating at a 5 star restaurant in town! The house was kept clean daily but we never felt intruded on, and the cleaners did a wonderful job. I hope that we will be able to enjoy a stay here again!
